Can anyone see a better format than the current one used? I know friends of mine who prefer the old knockout system, but in todays society is it the bigger clubs who demand the smaller league format to garantee success to the later rounds. I have to say that with all credit to Liverpool, in the old system they would have struggled to get through. Also to let three to four clubs in from each of the top leagues is killing the desire to be league champions in each country. When Liverpool won the CL they had finished fourth in their league, I believe that a maximum of two places should be allowed to each league, then the two play a one off match at the national stadium to see who goes through to the knockout stage. It would shorten the competion and be more exciting. It could also then be expanded to a world competion. What are your thoughts???????????????????????????
