Footballers FC

I will be starting coaching an U14's boys team summer evenings with another Level 2 coaching friend starting with improving technique on passing, ball control using the free facilities in the park and the mild weather.

Thank you, I am enjoying my coaching this season and have just started working with a coach studying for his UEFA 'B' license, so very interesting developing our under 15's boys team at the moment. How are you and hows the development of the website going at the present time?

I've always found that if you keep things fun, competitive and interactive you don't have such problems. Plus, the more that players can play games that teach certain tactical strategy they tend to develop technically faster and are more responsive to learning. Who wants to just do drills that have no competitve nature to them and are not fun and motivational. Just my two cents....

When my girls (I coach U14 girls) start to slack off/talking they do sprints. When I want to move from one drill to another or give them a quick break, I'll say you have 10 seconds to pick up all of the cones and balls (and they already know that if I get to 10, there's sprints). I just had 2 girls today who wouldn't stop yapping, not talking about soccer and not including the team, so I told them if they made one single sound throughout the drill they would be running on their own. Push-ups, leg lifts, all of those things work too but usually not as well because they are not as torturous. Good luck!
